Our Client, a leading provider of unified commercial and architectural openings solutions, seeks a Senior Project Management Executive to oversee commercial door, frame, and hardware projects and manage relationships with general contractors. The role emphasizes Division 8 and 10 package execution on GC-driven projects and requires strong customer-facing acumen and construction know-how.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial door, frame, and hardware project management.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction documents, and hardware specifications.
  • Proficiency in software like Comsense, Emullion, or similar industry tools.
  • Strong understanding of Division 8 and 10 specifications and the commercial construction process.
  • Proven success working with general contractors and navigating bid/build and design/build project environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, door schedules, and hardware sets.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership/relationship management skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or Business preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to balance multiple complex active projects simultaneously.
  • Strong technical and analytical problem‑solving abilities.

  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Acts as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Project Execution: Reviews architectural drawings, specifications, and hardware schedules to ensure accuracy.
  • Material Coordination: Oversees procurement and logistics of doors, frames, and hardware to ensure timely job site delivery.
  • Risk Management: Conducts risk assessments, manages change orders, and implements mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee awarded projects through submittal, approval, procurement, and delivery phases.
  • Collaborate with internal project management and logistics teams to align schedules and ensure timely material releases.
  • Maintain communication with GCs, superintendents, and site personnel regarding project status, changes, and delivery coordination.
  • Track project budgets, change orders, and profitability throughout execution.
  • Support field teams or subcontractors to resolve on‑site issues related to scope or installation.

Summary

The Senior Project Management Executive is responsible for managing commercial door, frame, and hardware projects with a strong focus on general contractor (GC) relationships. This position plays a key role in executing Division 8 and 10 packages on GC‑driven projects, ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate combines high‑level customer facing acumen, construction knowledge, and project management skills to support GC clients through every phase of the construction process.
