Job summary

PDR is seeking a Project Manager to lead interior architectural projects from conception through construction in Austin. You will guide cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure transparent client communication while upholding our Project Management Framework.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years managing commercial interiors, proficiency with scheduling/CRM tools, and strong leadership, with LEED/WELL or Revit as pluses. A collaborative, growth-oriented environment awaits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • 7+ years of experience managing commercial interior architectural projects through all phases of the project from conception to construction.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project delivery.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Dynamics or other similar CRM system, Microsoft Project or other similar scheduling and planning software).
  • Strong financial management, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
  • Working knowledge of commercial construction practices and building codes.
  • Workplace interiors experience strongly preferred.
  • LEED or WELL accreditation is a plus.
  • Revit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, staffing strategies, budgets, and schedules.
  • Guide projects through each phase while maintaining alignment between scope, schedule, fee, and client expectations.
  • Identify risks early and proactively develop solutions.
  • Apply PDR's Project Management Framework to support consistent project delivery.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients through proactive communication and transparency.
  • Lead project kickoffs, milestone meetings, and ongoing client coordination.
  • Partner with the Principal-in-Charge to support long-term client success.
  • Lead internal project and phase kickoffs.
  • Coordinate designers, architects, consultants, and internal leadership throughout the project.
  • Remove obstacles, maintain accountability, and keep teams moving forward.
  • Foster collaboration and create an environment where teams can do their best work.
