Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Senior Project Lead Engineer to drive substation automation projects, lead technical design, and coordinate activities across design, production, and commissioning. You will configure SCADA, protective relays, and communication devices, and perform electrical testing with DOBLE and OMICRON.

The role requires a strong background in SCADA, protection systems, and utility substation operations, with a focus on collaboration with global teams and customers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in substation automation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA, protection systems, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, GOOSE).
  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing using DOBLE and OMICRON equipment.
  • Familiarity with utility substation operations and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Your Background
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in substation automation projects.

  • Strong knowledge of SCADA, protection systems, and communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3, GOOSE).

  • Hands-on experience with electrical testing using DOBLE and OMICRON equipment.

  • Familiarity with utility substation operations and standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
    Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
