Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Automation Engineer in Raleigh, NC to design and deploy substation automation solutions. You will configure MicroSCADA, build IEC 61850-based architectures, and create real-time HMI/RTU logic for reliable operation.

The role requires 3+ years in automation, strong problem-solving abilities, and US work authorization. On-site collaboration with global teams and remote support for commissioning are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in substation automation or industrial control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with MicroSCADA configuration and deployment.
  • Strong knowledge of IEC 61850 and related communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards for automation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Candidate must have work authorization to work in the United States.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Your Background
