Job Description

What You Will Do:


We are seeking a Senior Project Finance Manager! Under minimal supervision, you will support the objectives of the finance department while assisting the business teams with forecasting, planning, and performance management. You will be responsible for financial reporting and financial operations for Astronautics Corporation of America. You will work closely with the leadership team, helping drive efficiencies and financial results to plan.

This on-site position with hybrid flexibility is based at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You report directly to the Vice President of Finance.



How You Will Do It:



  • Work closely with project managers to assist in monitoring project performance; Assist in calculation of revenue recognition relative to project performance based on estimates to complete.

  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and reports for government regulatory agencies.

  • Support the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts, projecting revenue and analyzing variances.

  • Review and assess the potential financial implications of current and future investments.

  • Develop and maintain systems for internal control to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.

  • Provide and develop special projects/ad hoc reports as requested or required.

  • Develop and implement finance processes and policies driving a strong internal control framework.



What We Look For:


Required



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or another relevant field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of five years accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing and project-based industry i.e. engineering.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting, and general cost and project accounting functions.

  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying accounting standards

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.

  • Strong understanding of program finance and control.

  • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves.

  • Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data in an ERP environment.

  • Experience with IFS highly desired.
