Job summary

Siemens Energy’s Grid Technologies division seeks a Commercial Project Manager / Project Manager Finance to oversee financial control and reporting on construction projects. You will partner with technical PMs to ensure projects meet contractual and financial standards.

The role requires 3+ years in a similar financial project role, IFRS/GAAP knowledge, SAP/iTWO PM experience, and readiness to travel ~5%. A PMP/IPMA is a plus, with work authorization in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a similar financial project or commercial project role; PMP or IPMA is a plus.
• Strong GAAP and IFRS knowledge with the ability to interpret contractual terms; construction project experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with SAP, Microsoft Office, and financial analysis with strong analytical skills.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented team player with good communication, travel readiness (~5%), and English proficiency.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for all project-related financial matters, including accounting, legal, tax, and foreign currency topics throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage and optimize project financial performance, including monthly forecasting of revenue, profit margin, and cash flow, while ensuring accurate revenue recognition and contractual invoicing.
• Prepare and maintain commercial project documentation and reporting, ensuring accuracy of project financial data during execution and for regular project status reviews.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 15, local GAAP requirements, reporting guidelines, and internal controls, while maintaining accurate cost calculations, pricing, and project financial records in systems such as SAP and iTWO PM Imp@ct.
• Support the Project Manager in risk and opportunity management, contract interpretation, negotiating changes with customers or vendors, minimizing non-conformance costs, and ensuring proper management of guarantees, bonds, and project securities.
• Drive continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, including implementing lessons learned, supporting more accurate tender calculations through early project involvement, and collaborating with Procurement and other stakeholders to ensure proper contract flow-down conditions.
