Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Project Analyst to provide financial guidance across the project lifecycle, focusing on budgets, profitability, cash flow, and contract compliance. You will partner with project teams to optimize revenue and manage cost controls.

Responsibilities include analyzing gross margin scenarios, reviewing contracts, overseeing budgets and forecasts, and supporting accurate invoicing and revenue recognition. Excellent analytical skills and knowledge of GAAP are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of financial, project accounting/analysis, or related experience.
• In lieu of education, 9 years of financial, project accounting/analysis, or related work experience.
• Strong analytical and data modeling skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition concepts.

Responsibilities

• Model and analyze gross margin scenarios from engagement to final negotiations.
• Review client contracts to assess payment terms and identify revenue opportunities.
• Oversee budget changes, forecasts, and expenditures to align with contracts.
• Ensure timely invoice approvals and payment applications per terms and requirements.
• Forecast EAC and monitor cost accounts including change orders and trends.
• Lead earnings review process with the project team and analyze project finance performance.
• Escalate performance issues to the office finance manager.
