Job summary

W.E. O'Neil Construction in Pleasanton, CA seeks a Project Executive to lead multiple commercial projects, guide project teams, and cultivate key client relationships across office, retail, higher education, aviation, and more.

Qualifications

18+ years of progressively responsible construction industry experience.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Expert understanding of project delivery methods, construction operations, risk management, and financial management.
Advanced knowledge of construction means and methods, constructability principles, building systems, and VDC/BIM processes.
Strong business acumen and ability to oversee multiple project teams and Project Directors.
Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and leadership across clients and leadership.
Experience developing operational leaders and supporting organizational growth.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership across projects and champion safety culture.
Own the financial performance of assigned projects and portfolios — profitability, forecasting, cash flow, and risk.
Provide oversight and guidance to Project Directors, Senior Project Managers, and Project Managers across a diverse mix of commercial project types.
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and industry partners; serve as a senior company representative on key accounts.
Lead or support major pursuits, client interviews, and presentations within targeted markets.
Develop, mentor, and support Project Directors and project leadership, building the organization's next generation of operational leaders.
Guide project teams in evaluating and mitigating significant contractual, financial, and operational risks.
Participate in review and negotiation of significant contracts and project agreements.
