Job summary

Thermal Engineering International (USA) Inc. in Joplin, MO seeks a Senior Project Estimator to develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for heat exchangers and related engineered products to support customer proposals.

You will review specifications, build labor and material estimates, obtain supplier pricing, and coordinate with Engineering, Proposal Management, Procurement and Manufacturing to ensure estimate accuracy and timely proposals. Experience in heat exchangers is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of estimating, cost analysis, or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate labor, material, and cost data.
• Proficiency in Excel and Office; familiarity with estimating systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review specifications and drawings to determine project scope and estimating needs.
• Develop cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Proposal Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Sales.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate supplier pricing and subcontractor quotes.
• Analyze historical cost data and identify trends, risks, and discrepancies.
• Maintain estimating docs and support proposals with timely cost information.
