Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Project Environmental Engineer, Scientist, Geologist / Project Manager in Philadelphia, PA. The role focuses on managing environmental investigations and remediation projects, delivering high-quality reports, and coordinating staff and clients.

The position offers opportunities to lead projects, supervise teams, and develop client relationships across small and large projects while advancing technical and management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• LEED AP or PE certification
• 6+ years of related work experience
• Proficient in environmental due diligence
• Knowledge of quantitative/technical analyses and related software
• Hazwoper training and annual re-certifications
• Regulatory requirements knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage budgets
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental investigation and remediation projects.
• Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects.
• Supervise field activities and ensure correct interpretations of findings.
• Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
• Organize, write and edit draft proposals, reports and other documents.
• Identify and pursue new clients, develop additional work, attend business development meetings.
• Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for project assignments; coach and hire.
• Coordinate cross-location work groups and disciplines as needed.
• Interface with clients, contractors, staff and project personnel professionally.
• Perform other duties as requested.
