Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project Environmental Engineer to join our expanding Department of Energy design team. You will lead remedial system design, develop detailed drawings and specs, and prepare startup plans while mentoring junior staff.

You will coordinate field activities, oversee construction and subcontractors, and travel up to 25% to support projects and client engagement. A strong leadership mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead remedial system design and assessments in collaboration with project managers and senior staff.
• Develop detailed design drawings (process-mechanical, PFDs, P&IDs) and technical specifications.
• Prepare startup plans and standard operating procedures; delegate drafting to junior staff.
• Coordinate field activities including on-site treatment system startups and construction oversight.
