Job summary

Air Liquide is seeking a Project Engineering Manager in Houston, TX, to lead engineering and procurement for investment projects from $60M to $150M. You will work with the Project Manager/Director to define scope, budget, schedule, assumptions, and risks, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and subcontract scope definitions.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years of experience in large-scale industrial projects, and strong leadership and safety mindset. Travel may be 25-30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible industry experience in managing engineering/interfaces for large industrial plants.
• US work authorization and no visa sponsorship are required.
• Experience with EPC, Engineering/Procurement, project engineering and field experience preferred.
• Knowledge of design standards and procedures for engineering design and construction.
• Experience with 3D Model Review tools.
• PMP certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, quality, risk management and IMS activities on the project.
• Ensure compliance with group standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop engineering/procurement execution plan and manage project execution focus on engineering and procurement.
• Coordinate interfaces among engineering centers, vendors, and customers to meet schedule and budget.
• Oversee design change management, cost and schedule impacts, and client negotiations.
• Ensure timely reporting to project manager and client; manage risks and opportunities.
