Job summary

Air Liquide USA LLC in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead capital investment projects up to $200 million. The role requires cross-functional leadership across engineering, procurement, and construction with a multinational team and regular coordination with global sites.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 15 years in EPC/project management, strong communication skills, and fluency in English. Travel up to 60% is expected, with sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Science or Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Advanced degree is preferred.
• U.S. work authorization and ability to travel up to 60%.
• Fluency in English required; clients across the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Represent the business unit interests in the development and the execution of capital investments up to $200 million.
• Assist project and business development teams to identify, budget, and plan project solutions to maximize competitiveness.
• Plan project execution according to PMI practices and Air Liquide procedures.
• Lead a multi-national project execution team with representatives from multiple entities.
• Participate in required engineering review meetings at foreign locations (China, UAE, Germany, France, India).
• Create and maintain the project risk register and actively manage risks and opportunities.
• Negotiate and execute engineering, procurement, and construction contracts.
• Implement tracking and progress reporting with metrics and dashboards for upper management.
• Setup baseline project schedule and monitor progress against it.
• Work with regulatory bodies to obtain permits and licenses.
• Lead the team in subcontract package creation and contractor selection.
• Negotiate construction contracts with subcontracting department and legal team.
• Oversee onsite construction activities and contract compliance.
• Analyze, manage and mitigate risks; drive cross-functional teamwork.
• Ensure proper construction techniques and quality standards; prepare reports.
• Analyze, negotiate, and execute subcontract change orders.
• Monitor safety performance on-site.
