Job summary

Haley Ward, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead hydraulic design projects for municipal water systems, from concept through construction, including pump stations and control systems.

You will collaborate with regulatory agencies and mentor junior engineers, driving sustainable design and community impact. Ideal candidates have a PE license and 15+ years of related experience, plus 5+ years in hydraulic design.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license required; 15+ years related experience.
• 5+ years hydraulic design experience with water/wastewater systems.
• Pump station design from wet wells to electrical/control systems.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD, hydraulic modeling, and control systems.
• Excellent communication with city councils and regulatory boards.
• Growth mindset and commitment to professional development.
• Valid driver's license for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex hydraulic design projects for municipal water distribution, collection systems, and treatment facilities.
• Engineer pump stations from concept to commissioning - including electrical controls, telemetry, and automation systems.
• Collaborate directly with regulatory agencies and represent clients in meetings.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive innovative sustainable design approaches.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through construction; designs become reality.
• Use cutting-edge software and emerging technologies to solve real-world challenges.
