Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Senior Project Engineer to join the USMC Capabilities Development Engineering team in Poway, CA.

You will provide systems engineering and technical management for GA-ASI UAS, integrating new capabilities into Marine Corps platforms. The role emphasizes lifecycle program execution from concept to airworthiness testing, with responsibilities across schedules, BOMs, and basis of estimate.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor/master/PhD in engineering and progressive engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts, principles, codes and theory.
• Ability to lead teams, communicate clearly, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support operation of engineering systems by evaluating needs and developing solutions.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and repair systems using engineering principles.
• Direct activities of designers, technicians, and junior staff as needed.
• Lead integration and flight test activities for unmanned aircraft and related systems.
