ABB is seeking a seasoned Turbine Automation Engineer to join the Turbine Automation Business in Pittsburgh, PA. You will act as a design authority for an engineering discipline, completing assignments on multiple projects and ensuring compliance with contract specs, quality standards, safety, and cybersecurity policies.

The role supports a remote work model for Greater Pittsburgh and contributes to ABB's Turbine Automation Business in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

• Experience with Turbine Control Automation in the Power Industry.
• 8–12 years of DCS or PLC design and programming experience in Turbine Automation.
• Strong problem solving and process control skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Proficient in English communication.

Responsibilities

• Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.
• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.
• Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.

This position reports to:

Manager, Operations

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.
The work model for the role is: Remote {#LI-Remote} (Must be in Greater Pittsburgh, PA)
This role is contributing to the Turbine Automation Business in Pittsburgh, PA.
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.

• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.

• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $91,700 and $146,720 annually.
