Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Project Engineer III to lead and execute engineering projects, ensuring successful integration and timely delivery. You will balance technical, cost, and schedule constraints while guiding cross-functional teams.

You will provide estimation support, mentor junior engineers, coordinate with suppliers, and clearly communicate progress to both technical and program stakeholders. This role requires a Secret clearance and is based in the United States.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience; typically 5+ years.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required.
• Experience with systems engineering lifecycle, requirements parsing and verification.
• Knowledge of requirements management, allocation, and traceability.
• Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute technical projects, ensuring integration of engineering solutions.
• Develop Basis of Estimates and manage technical risk across projects.
• Conduct trade studies, lead evaluations, and mentor junior engineers.
• Manage supplier coordination and Statements of Work with contracts and QA teams.
• Communicate project status clearly to technical and program audiences.
