Job summary

PARADIGM Structural Engineers, Inc. in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Project Engineer to direct projects through design and construction administration, lead teams in drawings, calculations, and specifications, and coordinate with other design disciplines.

The SPE serves as the primary client contact and collaborates on project oversight with Senior Associates. The ideal candidate will have a PE, SE preferred, 7+ years in structural analysis and design, and strong management skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• MS in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred.
• PE required; SE preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of engineering experience in structural analysis and design.
• 2+ years of management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in seismic design and lateral systems.
• Experience with ETABS, RISA, RAM, Enercalc, Revit and MS Office.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct projects through all design and construction administration phases.
• Lead project teams in drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines.
• Serve as primary client contact.
• Collaborate with Senior Associates on oversight and client relationships.
