Job summary

Generon, based in Houston, seeks a Project Engineer to manage full project lifecycles from specification through completion. The role involves interpreting client requirements, coordinating with sales, purchasing, and manufacturing, and producing submittals and drawings for customer reviews.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of engineering or project management experience, in skid-packaged equipment and process/compressor packaging.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in engineering duties, design, or project management.
• Experience with skid-packaged equipment and project management.
• Experience with process systems and compressor packaging.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate system design, materials, components, equipment, and applications for fabricated or packaged equipment systems.
• Read and organize customer project specifications to design our systems.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and manufacturing to ensure material quality and contractual compliance.
• Create, review, and organize project submittal documents including drawings, data sheets, calculations, and BOMs.
• Attend meetings with Engineers, Clients, and vendors to validate scope of work and perform reviews.
• Assist Technical Sales with customer proposals and questions.
• Support Manufacturing in standardization and product improvements or R&D initiatives.
• Prioritize workload to meet customer expectations across multiple projects.
