Job summary

ASR Group is seeking a Senior Capital Project Engineer to lead large, complex programs at the Chalmette, LA refinery. You will manage safety, PSM compliance, and capital delivery while guiding cross-functional teams and external partners through scope, design, and construction activities.

The role involves process equipment expertise, budget ownership, and travel up to 15% to other refineries as needed. A senior engineer with strong leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
• 15+ years of experience in the manufacturing process and/or project-focused roles.
• Experience managing Capex projects within manufacturing, including $5M+ initiatives.
• Ability to communicate with multiple levels and external vendors/partners.
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced environments and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize complex capital projects from initiation to closure.
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, procurement, safety, and operations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost controls for programs ($2M–$100M).
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance across project stages.
• Act as liaison between project teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
• Develop and enforce design and construction standards aligned with best practices.
