Job summary

gpac represents a leading commercial general contractor in Sheridan, Wyoming, seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its growing team. You will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents, taking on meaningful responsibility from preconstruction through closeout.

You will manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, procurement, and project documentation, and you will coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction with a general contractor.
• Previous roles as Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or similar.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, RFIs and submittals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field teams, owners and design professionals.
• Organized, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Desire to grow toward a Project Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers and Superintendents to manage commercial projects from start to finish.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, procurement and documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.
• Assist with schedules, budgets, change orders, forecasting and cost control.
• Track long-lead materials and identify issues before they impact schedule.
• Participate in owner and subcontractor meetings.
• Support buyout, subcontractor coordination and project closeout.
• Spend time in the field to understand progress and resolve issues.
