Job summary

Kitchell in the Bay Area seeks an experienced Program Manager to lead large, high-risk construction management programs from our San Francisco or San Jose offices.

You will direct PM teams, manage budgets and schedules, and maintain client relationships while advancing business development across education, healthcare, and civic sectors.

The role requires 15+ years in construction management, California DSA project experience, and strong leadership; travel within the Peninsula is expected.

Qualifications

• 15+ years progressive construction management experience.
• Minimum 5 years managing five or more employees.
• Experience on California DSA projects is required.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office; Primavera P6 and Procore preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides top oversight and direct Construction PM teams through all project phases.
• Manages project budgets, schedules, and contractual requirements.
• Maintains client satisfaction and secures repeat business.
• Leads business development and proposals for new work.
• Coaches and develops project staff.
• Ensures risk management and quality standards.
