NANO Nuclear Energy is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide owner-side technical leadership across development, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness of nuclear fuel cycle facilities. You will interact with EPCM partners and contractors, shaping major capital projects from engineering through readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline related to nuclear facilities.
• 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in nuclear fuel cycle or complex facilities.
• Capital project oversight experience with engineering contractors and field construction.
• Strong design review, problem-solving, and change-management capabilities.
• Familiarity with safety, environmental, and licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical oversight of multidisciplinary engineering and construction activities.
• Serve as the chief technical interface with EPCM firms, contractors, vendors, and site personnel.
• Review designs, calculations, specs, drawings, equipment selections, and packages.
• Evaluate contractor performance against scope, schedules, codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate interfaces across process, mechanical, electrical, I&C, civil, and structural disciplines.
• Conduct field inspections, identify deficiencies, and drive corrective actions.
• Assess design changes and change orders for safety, cost, and compliance impact.
• Support contractor selection, technical bids, and contract administration.
• Coordinate with licensing, quality, and Fuel Technology teams to maintain design authority.
• Oversee activities through fabrication, installation, testing, turnover, commissioning, and readiness.
