Job summary

GEM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM. This full-time position requires coordinating multi-discipline engineering activities and providing technical direction across project phases, from design through startup and operations.

Ideal candidates will have a B.E. degree and 8+ years of progressive engineering leadership, with the ability to obtain a government clearance if needed, and a track record of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal nature of work.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Progressive engineering experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Experience supervising and coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, execute, and coordinate complex engineering assignments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineering activities across all disciplines for a project or designated portions of a project.
• Plan, organize, and direct engineering assignments to support project objectives, schedules, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines to ensure alignment and effective project execution.
• Provide technical direction for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating engineering assignments.
• Oversee project design engineering activities and ensure engineering deliverables meet applicable technical standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering teams, construction personnel, and other stakeholders to address technical challenges and resolve project issues.
• Provide engineering oversight throughout project phases, which may include design, startup, field engineering, and plant operations.
• Supervise engineering personnel and coordinate resources to support project goals and successful delivery.
