Job summary

The Beck Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join an extraordinary project team in Denver/Austin. The role covers project management functions including procurement, tracking materials, pre-qualifying subcontractors and vendors, updating schedules, and ensuring quality and safety on-site.

You will work under a PM or supervisor, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with subcontractors and owners to deliver multi-trade construction projects while applying Lean principles and

Qualifications

• 2+ years minimum of relevant construction experience
• College graduate with relevant degree or field experience
• Thorough understanding of project documents and local building codes
• Fundamental understanding of field engineering and site-layout
• Experience using construction tech like Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, Egnyte, CMiC, and Revit

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, maintain, and understand construction drawings, specs, and docs
• Assemble monthly reports and QA plans
• Develop and maintain submittals, drawings, specs, and RFI logs
• Update and maintain construction schedule and weekly updates
• Coordinate and sequence utility line locates
• Support Lean principles on the project lifecycle
• Closeout process: deliver documents and closeout report
• Submit docs for LEED certification
• Identify documentation discrepancies and constructability issues
• Perform daily field walks for safety and quality
• Mentor entry-level engineers and interns
