True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead an individual portfolio of capital and improvement projects from concept through commissioning and start-up in the Starkville, MS area.

The role requires a B.S. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years of engineering experience focused on project management, plant operations, or process design. Travel to job sites and hands-on manufacturing experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required.
• At least 8 years of engineering experience with emphasis on project management, plant operations, or process design.
• Experience independently managing capital/improvement projects from cradle to grave (scope, schedule, budget, execution).
• Projects typically range from $1M–$15M, with ability to support larger efforts.
• Hands-on experience with cost estimating, FEED, P&IDs/PFDs, equipment/vendor selection, procurement, construction oversight, commissioning and start-up.

Responsibilities

• Manage an individual portfolio of projects from initial concept through commissioning and start-up.
• Coordinate with Operations, Environmental, Safety, and other stakeholders.
• Provide clear project updates, schedules, cost reports, and technical information.
• Travel to job sites and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
