Job summary

RNInk is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead a portfolio of capital and improvement projects in a hands-on manufacturing setting. You will guide projects from initial concept through commissioning and start-up at Starkville, MS, with travel to job sites as needed.

The role requires 8+ years in engineering focusing on project management, plant operations, or process design, and strong leadership and communication to manage scope, schedule, budget, and multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience with focus on project management, plant operations, or process design.
• Independently manage capital and improvement projects from cradle to grave, including scope, schedule, budget, and execution.
• Projects typically range from $1M to $15M, with ability to support larger projects.
• Hands-on with cost estimating, FEED, P&IDs and PFDs, equipment & vendor selection, procurement, construction oversight, commissioning, and start-up.
• Strong knowledge of mass and energy balances, hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing, process modeling, and heat-transfer calculations.
• Ability to provide plant support through process troubleshooting, improvement work, and pilot-facility activities.
• Proven leadership and decision-making with coordination of Operations, Environmental, Transportation, Safety, contractors, and vendors.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient in reporting, updates, and technical information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; VBA programming knowledge is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to job sites and work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage an individual portfolio of capital and improvement projects from concept through commissioning and start-up.
• Develop scope, schedule, and budget; oversee procurement, construction oversight, and commissioning activities.
• Provide plant support through process troubleshooting and improvement work as needed.
• Coordinate Operations, Environmental, Transportation, Safety, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
