Job summary

The Senior Project Engineer at Baker Concrete Construction, Inc. supports field activities and collaborates with the Project Manager on administration across multiple projects. You will assist in procurement, review change orders, and ensure safety and quality standards while mentoring support staff and aligning with company goals and client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 4 years' construction experience OR 8 years construction-related experience
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Basic understanding of Primavera and Timberline
• Ability to understand, customize and modify spreadsheets
• Ability to maneuver in and out of job site trailers and various terrains

Responsibilities

• Supports Project Manager on cost and schedule management including monthly billings and earned value reports
• Maintains and develops critical path schedules for projects
• Analyzes job costs, targets, and reports to support decision making
• Coordinates with Superintendent and Project Manager for resource allocation
• Reviews and negotiates change orders and tracks status
• Manages procurement and recommends actions to the Project Manager
• Approves field purchase orders for standard packages
• Monitors project financial performance and participates in reviews
• Oversees work of direct reports and supports safety and risk management
• Participates in training and certifications
