Job summary

Level 10 Construction seeks a Senior Project Engineer to manage administrative, contractual, financial and technical aspects of assigned projects. Reports to Project Manager and/or Superintendent and leads a team of project engineer professionals.

Responsibilities include cost control, scheduling, bid analysis, cash flow, value of subcontractor schedules, and coordination with PM and Superintendent. Requires strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Project Engineer in the commercial construction industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering or related field.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software (Viewpoint or similar) and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar).
• Strong understanding of construction management, engineering, safety, scheduling, estimating, budgets, costing and procurement.
• Able to analyze and interpret data.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership, detail orientation, problem solving and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Manager and Superintendent in management of construction projects including cost control, expediting, quantity take-off, scheduling and safety.
• Develop peer constructability review of design documents.
• Develop, input and update project schedule as directed.
• Coordinate, develop and accuracy of project estimate, budget, revisions, cost coding, and cash flow charts.
• Analyze changes to contract documents (CORs, SCOs).
• Review revised cost reports with Project Manager and assist in establishing final costs; attend monthly job reviews.
• Perform thorough bid analysis with Project Manager to support project development.
• Prepare subcontractor Schedule of Values and monthly owner billings with Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Other duties as requested.
