Job summary

The Ruhlin Company in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Project Engineer for its Industrial Division to lead profitability, scheduling, and safety on complex construction projects. You will partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent and drive operational leadership across disciplines.

You will mentor junior staff, manage submittals, and guide risk mitigation while delivering projects on time and within budget with strong cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of related construction experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager in monthly margin reporting and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with safety, schedules, and quality requirements.
• Develop submittal logs and manage shop drawings and submittals.
• Coordinate material deliveries and change orders to protect profitability.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and assist Lead Project Engineer.
