Job summary

The Ruhlin Company in Ohio is seeking a Project Engineer/Lead Project Engineer to partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent. You will provide operational leadership, monitor profitability, schedule performance, and mentor junior staff while safeguarding safety and compliance on the project.

You will proactively identify risks, manage cost variances, coordinate submittals, and drive timely project documentation to support on-time delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of construction or project engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
• Outstanding communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in monthly margin reports and provide insights to senior management.
• Monitor wage compliance reporting for subcontractors and self-perform activities.
• Track owner quantity payments and analyze quantity variances on profitability.
• Coordinate and review submittals, shop drawings, and engineering submittals with owners.
• Lead punch list coordination with owners, architects, and engineers; mentor junior staff.
• Manage equipment costs and coordinate material deliveries to maintain the project schedule.
