Job summary

Flintco, LLC in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support project management through subcontract and purchase order oversight, submittal control, and schedule maintenance.

You will liaise with owners, architects, authorities, subcontractors and suppliers to keep projects on track and compliant. Travel to diverse locations across the U.S. may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is required.
• 2 years of experience in construction management and construction trades is required.
• Experience with construction software Procore and AutoCAD is required.
• Ability to determine construction sequencing, procurement planning and review/correct submittals.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager in writing/reviewing subcontracts and purchase orders to ensure scope, provisions and contract amounts are correct.
• Review Project Documents and understand project participants to facilitate day-to-day operations.
• Represent the company in project meetings as needed.
• Assist in determining submittal requirements and maintain submittal log.
• Expedite materials/equipment from pre-approval to delivery to meet schedule and ensure correct delivery.
• Review, correct and obtain approvals on all submittals.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the overall project schedule and short-term schedules.
• Maintain daily records and prepare submittals and weekly timesheets/payrolls as required.
• Keep project files and documentation organized to maintain a clear project history.
• Track estimated and actual costs and monitor Subcontractor/Supplier and in-house work for billing justification.
• Expedite and obtain necessary permits and ensure records are received timely.
• Work across various unanticipated project locations throughout the U.S.

(Flintco, LLC has an opening in Tulsa, OK) Senior Project Engineer: Assist Project Manager in writing/reviewing subcontracts and purchase orders to assure that the scope of work is accurate and complete; that all the necessary provisions are included; and that the contract amounts are correct. Review thoroughly the Project Documents and become familiar with Project participants (i.e. Architect, Owner, local authorities, Subcontractors and Suppliers) to enable productive day-to-day operations between the company and other participants. Represent the company in project meetings, as required. Assist in determining submittal requirements and preparing and maintaining submittal log. Expedite materials/equipment from the pre-approval stage through the final delivery stage to ensure the correct material/equipment is delivered to meet the project schedule. Includes reviewing, correcting and obtaining approvals on all submittals. Assist in developing and maintaining the overall project schedule, and short-term schedules. Duties may also include maintaining daily records and preparation and submittal of weekly timesheets and/or prevailing wage payrolls to payroll clerk. Receive, evaluate and disseminate correspondence, directives, questions, clarifications, and other information between Owner, Architect, Subcontractors, and Suppliers, to ensure the timely response of requested information, and changes and directives are being acted upon by all participants. Assist in maintaining project files and documentation, including transmittals, telephone conversations, submittals, letters, etc., assuring that project documentation is organized and complete so that a clear and accurate history of the project is maintained. Assist in keeping estimated and actual cost records current and accurate, and in tracking Subcontractor/Supplier and company self-performed work, to provide justification for billing. When directed, expedite and obtain all necessary permits (building, occupancy, etc.), all record documents (i.e. as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, warranties, etc.) are received in a timely manner so as to not delay construction progress or payments. Will work in various unanticipated project locations throughout the U.S. Requires Bachelor in Engineering, Construction Management, or related and 2 years of experience in the job offered, or related. 2 years must include experience in (1) construction management and construction trades; (2) construction software Procore and AutoCAD; and (3) determining proper construction sequencing, procurement planning, and review and correcting of submittals.
