Compensation and Benefits

Position

H&H Senior Project Engineer in the Frisco, Austin, San Antonio, McAllen, San Marcos, or Fort Worth offices.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analysis – complete entire design and analysis for complex projects or specific clients, ensure latest manuals and criteria are being met, sign and seal plans.
  • Coordinate with internal project team, external subcontractors, and clients to ensure design tasks are synchronized.
  • Adhere to company QA/QC processes and procedures and oversee work of others to meet QA/QC.
  • Work with project manager to complete all levels of the assignment.
  • Lead internal and external training as a subject‑matter expert.
  • Problem‑solve complex issues, work with clients daily and attend meetings.
  • Assist with marketing and project interviews, review scopes—including budget and schedule—and ensure financial management aligns with project schedule.
  • Work on projects involving delineation of drainage areas, peak‑flow determination, selection of modeling software, technical writing, GIS basics, lidar/terrain, flow‑path/outfall identification, ArcHydro, Sheetflow analysis, definition of drainage boundaries, hydrology criteria, land‑use categories, time‑of‑concentration calculations, stormwater runoff calculations, hydraulic calculations (static vs dynamic), Manning equation, and mitigation analysis.
  • Utilize EPA SWMM, XP SWMM, PC SWMM, InfoWorks, HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, Excel, ArcMap, ArcHydro, StormCAD, GeoPak Drainage, MicroStation, AutoCAD, WSRD, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
Qualifications

Experience as a Senior Project Engineer with knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic design, proficiency with the software applications listed above, and ability to lead teams. Strong communication, collaboration, and training skills. Ability to meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.

Physical & Cognitive Requirements

Professional office environment with periodic site visits. Standing and extended sitting, mobility within office and job sites, neck movements for multiple monitors, repetitive finger motions, arm movements, object handling, selective attention, oral and written communication skills, and use of standard office equipment. Outdoor exposure to uneven surfaces and weather conditions may occur.

Work Hours & Schedule
  • Full‑time, 40 hours per week with possible overtime.
  • Standard hours Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM CST, with a 1‑hour unpaid lunch break.
  • Hybrid schedule available after training.
