Job summary

Top Echelon Software, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer for heavy civil highway and DOT-backed infrastructure work in the Atlanta area. You will lead the engineering scope on highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects, coordinating with owners, DOT inspectors, and design engineers.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of relevant experience, a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, and strong Primavera P6 and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway/bridge/DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports, and change orders.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
• GDOT or state DOT experience is a plus.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Atlanta area.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs for your scope from start to closeout
• Build and maintain quantity takeoffs, project logs and pay applications
• Track cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports and forecasts
• Build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and material deliveries
• Work with the owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on change orders and field issues
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control and environmental requirements
• Mentor the field engineers on the team (Senior PE)
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with real time in the field
