Job summary

KLA Industries in Orlando, FL seeks a Senior Project Engineer for a major FDOT roadway and bridge infrastructure project. You will drive technical and commercial coordination, RFIs, and field execution on a $100M+ program.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in civil infrastructure project engineering, strong FDOT exposure, and proficiency with Procore/Primavera. Hybrid/onsite, strong growth path, competitive benefits, relocation considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of civil infrastructure project engineering/construction management.
• Experience on large infrastructure projects valued at $50M+.
• Familiar with CIP walls, retaining/MSE/sound walls and bridge work.
• Knowledge of FDOT standards, specs and QC requirements.
• Ability to read FDOT plans, shop drawings, technical details.
• Experience with RFIs, coordination, change orders and cost analysis.
• Proficient in PM software such as Procore or Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project meetings with owners, foremen, contractors, and teams.
• Coordinate technical information among project team, owner, EOR, subcontractors, and field leaders.
• Manage RFIs and resolve Non-Conformance Reports.
• Review specs, data, plans, shop drawings for contract conformance.
• Coordinate CIP wall work including retaining, MSE, sound, and bridge walls.
• Support layout, rebar coordination, formwork, concrete placement and curing.
• Schedule and monitor construction activities on large infrastructure work.
• Identify conflicts and delays before field disruption.
• Develop work plans with EOR/owner approval when required.
• Estimate quantities, BOMs, and help budgets.
• Review supplier quotes from manufacturing/engineering perspectives.
• Negotiate/subcontract terms and change orders.
• Track cost vs. bid variance and aid cost-benefit analysis.
• Schedule QA/QC inspections and coordinate surveying.
• Support implementation of Safety, Health, and Environmental program.
