Sterling Construction Company, Inc. in Kuna, Idaho seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead large-scale heavy civil projects, overseeing scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination. You'll work with a team across highways, bridges, and structural projects, driving change orders, inspections, and accurate job costing to ensure on-time delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills for coordinating with subs, PMs, and owners.
• Experience with heavy civil/highway projects and understanding of construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Superintendents and Project Managers to drive project execution.
• Lead subcontractor coordination and ensure contractor performance.
• Manage project schedules (P6), budgets, and change orders.
• Oversee field operations support, inspections, and record-keeping.
• Track quantities for owner payments and maintain accurate job costing.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
• Act as primary liaison with owners, subs, and inspectors.
• Support successful project close-out and quality delivery.
