Job summary

Key People in the Atlanta, GA area seeks a Senior Project Engineer / Project Engineer for heavy civil highway and bridge projects. You will run the engineering scope, manage submittals, cost reports and schedules with Primavera P6, coordinating with DOT inspectors and design teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project engineering on heavy civil highway, bridge, or DOT projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Hands-on with submittals, RFIs, quantities, cost reports, and change orders.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Run submittals and RFIs from start to closeout.
• Build quantity takeoffs and project logs.
• Track cost against budget; prepare monthly reports.
• Update project schedule in Primavera P6 with the field team.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and materials.
• Work with owner, DOT inspectors and design engineers on changes.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, traffic control, and environmental requirements.
• Mentor the field engineers on the team.
• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent with in-field activities.
