Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Project Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to lead systems and test engineering efforts, manage CAM and IMS, and track milestones against stringent technical requirements.

The role requires a 15+ year background in project or test engineering within aerospace or related fields, with hands-on NPD/R&D experience and Gas Turbine Engine knowledge. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as STEM (science, tech, eng, math).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in project engineering, test engineering, or related field.
• Experience with CAM (Control Account Management).
• Hands-on background in NPD, R&D, or aerospace testing.
• Technical knowledge in Gas Turbine Engines (APU/Propulsion).

Responsibilities

• Support and lead systems and test engineering efforts, including requirements management, system integration, and engine development/qualification test efforts.
• Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
• Track project milestones and ensure adherence to strict technical requirements.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to achieve project goals.
• Prepare and present monthly budget and schedule updates, including CAM activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Act as the primary liaison between team leadership and customers.
• Provide regular updates on program status and address concerns.
