Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced engineer in Houston, TX to provide engineering and consulting services across diverse projects. You will lead field investigations, perform analyses, design plans, review reports, and communicate complex concepts to clients and project teams.

The role requires a bachelor's in engineering and 5–8 years' experience, with a master's preferred. A valid driver's license may be required.

Responsibilities

Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
Provide and lead quality monitoring on projects and ensure standards.
Manage detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
Independently perform a variety of projects or segments of larger projects.
Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned work.
Work with senior project managers to gain experience on larger projects.
Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations and modifications.
Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
Serve as adviser to junior team members and interact with clients on scope and progress.
Write and prepare engineering reports detailing services, findings, and recommendations.
Participate in marketing, sales and business development.
Supervise graduate, field and project engineering staff.
