Job summary

Markent Personnel seeks a Senior Project Engineer in Los Angeles, CA to support transportation and infrastructure initiatives, including major LA Metro projects. The role requires extensive experience in electrical or transportation construction and a track record of managing cost, schedule, and quality on complex projects.

You will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent, ensure project objectives are met, and maintain clear communication with clients and field teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Background in electrical contracting or transportation/mass transit projects preferred.
• Experience with traffic signal systems or street lighting projects is a plus.
• Strong contracting principles, cost control, and scheduling knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and process change proposals, change orders, and owner payment applications.
• Track job costs, prepare quantity and labor cost reports, and support profit analysis.
• Coordinate and lead the project closeout process with complete documentation.
• Research and propose quality control solutions; verify field work for drawings and codes.
• Support planning, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with field operations to ensure safe, efficient project execution.
