Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Senior Project Engineer for a major transportation infrastructure program in Los Angeles. You will support project leadership, manage cost controls, change management, and documentation, coordinating with field operations and engineers.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in large-scale heavy civil or electrical infrastructure projects and a strong grasp of contracts, plans, and manufacturing interfaces. Full benefits and relocation support offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and project documentation.
• Experience with project cost tracking, change management, and financial reporting.
• Ability to analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and project performance.
• Strong understanding of project controls and contract administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager and Superintendent in the execution of large-scale transportation and infrastructure projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, and project requirements.
• Track and process Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, Potential Change Orders, Owner Payment Applications, and Claims documentation.
• Assist with identifying changes in project scope and developing supporting documentation for additional compensation and/or schedule impacts.
• Monitor project costs and maintain accurate cost and production reports.
• Assist project leadership with cost forecasting and financial reporting.
• Analyze labor costs, quantities, production, and project performance.
• Prepare and maintain quantity tracking and production reports.
• Coordinate with field operations to verify installed quantities and completed work.
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor coordination, material tracking, and project documentation.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, and other technical documentation.
