Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Special Projects Group in Dallas, TX. The SPE will assist the Project Manager with the planning and daily execution of construction projects, managing submittals, material deliveries, and schedules and budgets.

This role coordinates with subcontractors, reviews submittals, and maintains safety and quality control programs, with zero overnight travel in the DFW market.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years experience preferred.
• Leadership skills to direct others and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to create and manage schedules and priorities.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage the project budget and control expenses.
• Coordinate submittals, RFI logs and shop drawings.
• Lead preconstruction and bid package setup with subs.
• Oversee site utilization planning and loss prevention/quality control programs.
• Attend meetings with architects, engineers and owner representatives.
