Job summary

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for its PCI Sacramento operations, based in North Highlands, CA. You will manage labor, prepare submittals, and coordinate with field teams to develop schedules and closeout documents.

Requirements include 4–7 years of project leadership, proficiency in MS Office, and the ability to read specs. The role offers competitive pay ($92,900–$124,000) and a non-guaranteed annual bonus program, with a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must have 4-7 years’ experience managing construction projects
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word)
• Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they’re learned
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
• Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
• Works well under pressure and deadlines

Responsibilities

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
• Prepare RFI’s and submittals
• Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
• Support the QA/QC measures outlined in the QA/QC program
• Assist in other duties as assigned
