Job summary

The Beck Group in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Project Engineer for its Self-Perform Commercial Drywall Division. The role supports project management, procurement, material tracking, change orders, QA/QC, scheduling, and LEED documentation, while mentoring junior engineers on a dynamic project team.

You will collaborate with trades, foremen, and subcontractors, coordinate documents, and help drive Lean practices throughout the project lifecycle to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of commercial construction experience.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Lean processes and self-performed labor productivity.
• Thorough understanding of project documents and local building codes.
• Experience using Excel, Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC, or comparable construction technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.
• Build relationships with tradespeople, foremen, superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate and understand construction drawings, specs, and documents.
• Assemble monthly reports, QA/QC plans, and submittals log.
• Develop and maintain submittals, drawings, specs, and RFI logs.
• Assist in updating construction schedule and provide weekly updates.
• Support coordination of utility locates and Lean principles implementation.
• Contribute to project closeout and documentation for LEED/certification.
