Job summary

Delek Us Holdings is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support capital projects development at Brentwood, TN (remote option). This 6-month contract role focuses on driving Carbon Capture Technology Projects, evaluating technology options, and delivering technical reviews across early project phases.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in engineering with FEL/FEED experience, refinery or petrochemical exposure, and a background in process or project engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Experience with FEL 1, FEL 2 & FEED deliverables preferred.
• Experience in refinery or petrochemicals plant design.
• Experience with Carbon Capture Technology evaluation and deployment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather information to support project definition, problem statement, and objectives.
• Lead refinery complex capital projects through FEL/FEED phases.
• Front-run vendor scope and proposals to secure early development funds (OPEX).
• Lead site project development review meetings and assurance alignment.
• Define project deliverables with appropriate level of detail for each phase.
• Validate project scope and execution plan prior to funding (AFE) and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Prepare presentations to summarize scope, deliverables, and funding plan.
