Job summary

HoSt Bio-Energy Systems is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to guide biogas and RNG projects from design through execution, combining hands-on engineering with project leadership. This client-facing role serves as the technical point of contact for clients and coordinates across mechanical, electrical, controls, and process disciplines to keep project execution on track.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in a technical role within process industries; 5+ years in project engineering/management.
• Experience with project governance, scope, change control, risk mitigation, scheduling, and vendor management.
• Familiarity with industrial process equipment and engineered systems.
• Strong MS Office skills, PM software, and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Own project design and delivery: coordinate design reviews, equipment specs, procurement, and QA.
• Coordinate across disciplines to keep projects moving as one team.
• Advise commissioning teams with technical input and troubleshooting support.
• Partner with sales to review project scopes for feasibility and fit with offerings.
• Build and maintain standard engineering practices and documentation; lead process improvements.
• Define technical strategy and resource allocation for new projects; ensure standards are followed.
• Mentor and onboard engineers, drafters, and interns; contribute to performance reviews.
