Align Builders, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager for its Special Projects Division in Los Angeles.

The role couples technical project leadership with hands-on management of RFIs, submittals, and procurement to keep complex construction on schedule. You will mentor engineers and interns, coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors, and support cost forecasting and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or engineering preferred but not required.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction as a Project Engineer, with progression toward Assistant Project Manager.
• Experience in healthcare (OSHPD), life sciences, higher education, and office improvements is a plus.
• Proficient with subcontract administration, change management, and project cost reporting.
• Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, and scheduling software.

Responsabilités

• Partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to execute complex projects and lead defined portions of work.
• Provide information to field teams to keep the project on schedule.
• Interpret plans, specs, and code and flag conflicts early.
