Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC seeks a Project Engineer for our Advanced Manufacturing portfolio. You will coordinate daily with clients, trade partners, engineers, and field staff to plan, schedule, predict, and manage technical tasks across the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities include submittals, scheduling updates, cost take-offs, change orders, and training for the team and partners, with hands-on site exposure and a focus on safety and excellence in execution.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
• 2+ years experience in an engineer, project engineer, or similar role in the construction industry.
• Demonstrated knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration.
• Demonstrated ability reading drawings and specifications.
• Computer proficient including Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
• Prepare and forward submittals; confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
• Support development and updating of project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Play a lead role in the development of project plans.
• Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring alignment with the schedule.
• Review change proposals from trade partners and negotiate as appropriate.
• Facilitate with PM and Superintendent in coordination of drawings.
• Draft change orders.
• Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
• Lead close out of project; assemble manuals and turnover documents.
• Develop and lead training sessions for your team and trade partners.
• Take ownership of document management applications.
• Cultivate industry relationships to bring potential business opportunities to Clark leadership.
• Attract and recruit top talent to Clark; participate as a team recruiter.
• Exceed stakeholders’ expectations by anticipating needs, desires, and goals.
