Clark Construction is seeking a Project Engineer (Advanced Manufacturing) to join our Blacksburg team. You will collaborate with project managers, clients, and trade partners to plan, schedule, and manage technical tasks across project lifecycles.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a similar role, with proven skills in reading drawings, cost control, and schedule development. The role requires onsite work on active sites and a drive to exceed stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an engineering, project engineer, or similar role in the construction industry.
• Knowledge of scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and general project administration.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily with clients, trade partners, engineers, architects, and staff.
• Prepare and forward submittals; ensure compliance with plans and specs.
• Support development and updates of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
• Lead the development of project plans; monitor material deliveries.
• Review change proposals and negotiate with trade partners; draft change orders.
• Lead project closeout; assemble manuals and warranties, prepare final payment documents.
• Develop and lead training sessions for team and trade partners.
