CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to provide project management, design, and coordination to improve the production process, maintain manufacturing facilities, and ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety codes. Responsibilities include generating feasibility studies, performing engineering calculations, producing project estimates, defining scope of work, and scheduling. The engineer will also develop engineering designs, coordinate construction activities, and monitor contractor safety, performance, and progress to meet the mill's engineering objectives in a timely manner.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT WESTROCK:

1. Manage and complete projects across multiple engineering disciplines.
2. Develop and execute capital projects that meet scope, budget, and schedule while adhering to safety and environmental standards.
3. Plan projects in phases to thoroughly evaluate all aspects and identify risks.
4. Lead projects through all phases, including business planning, scope development, design, and construction.
5. Forecast capital expenditures for each project.
6. Support document control processes, including managing drawings and specifications.
7. Provide technical support and engineered solutions to maintenance and operations teams.
8. Support operations and maintenance personnel, including working nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
9. Contribute to the development of a 5-year capital plan aligned with the facility's long-term needs.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in heavy industrial or process industries.
• Experience in pulp & paper industry preferred; other industries considered.
• At least 5 years of capital project management experience.
